Homicide suspect extradited to Stanly

Donte Jamal Langhorne-Hagins, 25, was arrested in Newport News, Va. on March 24 as the person responsible in a homicide that occurred on Feb. 8, 2020, at 1004 Henry Jay St., Albemarle.
APD officers found 33-year-old Tristan Edward Crump of Albemarle lying in the yard of the residence. Crump later passed away at Atrium Health Stanly from his injuries.
After a hearing on extradition in Virginia, he was extradited to North Carolina April 28. He was arrested by officers with the Albemarle Police Department with the assistance of the SBI. He is currently under no bond.
His first scheduled court appearance is June 8.
