Oakboro Police Dept. makes arrests
In two separate incidents, the Oakboro Police Department made two arrests Saturday.
At around 2 a.m. Saturday, Nakemia Devon Garmon was arrested in a traffic stop and charged with possession of 15.91 grams of ecstasy, 2.52 grams of marijuana and a gun which was being concealed. Garmon was transported to the Stanly County Jail.
Oakboro Police responded to a call at 7 a.m. Saturday of a suspicious person in the area of North Main Street and East 7th Street. After speaking with Andrew Dennis Roberson, police learned he had outstanding warrants for felony larceny along with felony larceny of a gun. He was arrested and taking to the county jail.
