According to Emergency Services Director Brian Simpson, “all were assisted or out before units arrived” and there were no injuries.

The majority of issues took place in Albemarle.

At the height of the storm, he said, 24 roads were blocked due to the flooding.

Simpson said about four inches of rain occurred during a short period of time Thursday night.
