Citizens who reside in the Endy Fire Service District are encouraged to attend the upcoming Stanly County Commissioner’s meeting at 6 p.m. Monday for a public hearing about a proposed tax-exempt loan for the Endy Volunteer Fire Department.

The loan, which is not to exceed $691,000, is from Uwharrie Bank to the department for the refinance of a Kenworth T-440 tanker truck with attachments purchased in 2019, according to a public notice issued by the county. The loan will also finance a new 2020 model Ferrara engine truck with attachments.

The financing will be secured by a security interest in or lien upon all or some portion of the project financed.

The hearing will be at the Stanly County Commons Meeting Room.
