The city of Locust is looking for someone to fill a vacant seat on the Planning and Zoning Board after the death of long-time board member Oscar “Bud” Pethel in early June.

The application period runs through the end of August.

There are currently six board members.

There has only been one application thus far, said city clerk Amy Meachum.

Those who are interested in applying can print off the application on the city’s website and either mail it or drop it off at City Hall, Meachum said.
