The West Stanly Senior Center is open.

With COVID-19 there are new restrictions in place that are necessary to ensure everyone’s safety and protection while in the building.

Sarah White writes the Locust News for the SNAP.

The front door is the only entrance and exit into the Senior Center until further notice.

Masks are required the entire time you are in the building. Masks are available for those who do not have one. Hand sanitizer must be used upon entering and leaving the building. Social distancing will be observed at all times.

These are a few of the restrictions. You can contact the center for a full list.

Activities are planned with social distancing in mind.

The mask team will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 28. Whether you are a seamstress or not you can help by cutting fabric and elastic and packing supplies for seamstresses to sew masks for the community.

Movie of the Month will be July 24 with “Flywheel” being shown at 1 p.m.

Book club meets the last Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. “Secret Garden” is the book for July.

For a list of other activates contact the West Stanly Senior.

Food Trucks

There will be a social distancing food truck event 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

A variety of food trucks are expected to be in the grassy area directly in front of Locust Ace Hardware.
