Multiple arrests made after short standoff

Stanly County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and S.W.A.T Team conducted two operations Tuesday which were connected to each other.

These operations were conducted at one location inside Albemarle and another in the county. This resulted in the seizure of 910 grams (more than 2 pounds) of cocaine.

Albert Lopez Williams Jr. and Tierney Dashay Maske were arrested for their involvement with the trafficking of cocaine after a brief standoff with law enforcement. Williams barricaded himself in a house, but gave up in under an hour without incident, according to Sheriff Jeff Crisco.

Alex Edgarson Hinson was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with the intent manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine and conspire to sell and deliver cocaine.

Albert Lopez Williams Jr. was charged with conspiring to traffic in cocaine and conspire to sell and deliver cocaine.

Tierney Dashay Maske was charged with conspiring to traffic in cocaine.

All parties have an initial court appearance in District Court in Albemarle on Aug. 24.
