Three Norwood Elementary School SPARK after school program students participated in a Youth Voices Panel held in conjunction with the Synergy Conference virtually July 30-31.

The Synergy Conference provides educators with the opportunity to receive professional development in after school programming and these young students participated as panelists during the conference.

Students William “L.J.” Miller, Madison Miller and Stella Thompson were interviewed by Amber Rupinta from ABC11 Eyewitness News as the panel facilitator. They were asked: “What is one of your favorite memories from your program?”

They were also asked questions from the live audience such as “How did the virus affect you?” and “How do you think your after school program helps your parents/guardians?”

They were also asked about their future career goals, among other questions.

SPARK after school coordinator Janice Lee hosted this event.
