Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Editor’s Note: As the SNAP turns 140 this year, let’s celebrate the past with some of our favorite recipes of our grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles. Email bj.drye@ with recipes and a small story about the famous cooks that go with the recipe. Pictures can be included of the cook.

Sandwich Wrap

6 Inch flour tortilla
1 Thin slice ham
1 Thin slice cheese
Shredded carrots
Spreadable cream cheese – I used onion and chive. Ranch dressing also works well.

Lay tortilla flat. Spread with a little cream cheese or ranch dressing. Layer with ham, cheese, spinach and carrots.

Spread additional cream cheese where tortilla will close (almost like the glue for a sandwich).

Roll, place seam side down and cut into four pieces. Makes for a great snack or lunch.
