The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 1:15 p.m. today for Stanly County.

Thunderstorms capable of producing locally damaging winds and possibly an isolated tornado are possible Monday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Isolated heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches could result in flooding in urban and poor drainage areas.
