Limb and Brush

Today is the monthly Limb & Brush pickup day. The first Tuesday of each month is the regularly scheduled pickup day.

Town Council

Jo Grey

The Council will meet Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Conference Center. Please wear masks. Visitors are welcome.

Town Hall will be closed Sept. 7 for Labor Day.

Better Badin, Inc.

The next meeting of the volunteer organization is Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Loafers and Legends on Falls Road. Please wear masks and observe social distancing. Visitors and new members are welcome. The group continues to work toward scheduling musical events this fall.

Badin UMC

The church has planned an event at Good-O-Putt-O for Sept. 5 at 6 p.m., 1240 E. Main St., Albemarle. Golf and ice cream, fresh air and old-fashioned fun promised for all ages.

Pastor Beau Linker continues to lead drive-in worship each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the parking lot on Hickory Street until further notice.

Badin Baptist

Everyone is welcome to the 10 a.m. in-person worship service this Sunday at the church, 28 Falls Road. Please wear a mask and enter through the side doors. Temperatures will be taken. Dan Dalton and Pawnee Barden are teaching Sunday school lessons on Wednesday at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Contact Dan Dalton to receive an email about Zoom access.

Badin Presbyterian

Pastor Dan Wray welcomes everyone to the worship services at the church, 153 Spruce St., each Sunday at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.

Bethel and Palestine UMC

The churches will have on-site services at Bethel UMC, 44118 N.C. 740, New London, beginning at 9 a.m. Sundays. Services will also be broadcast on the Bethel UMC and Palestine UMC Facebook pages.

Badin Library

Please stop by the Library during the following hours: Monday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thursday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Reading is cool, and so is the AC at Badin’s Vann Memorial Library.

Virtual Bouncing Babies Storytime happens live every Thursday at 11 a.m. on Stanly County Library’s Facebook page.

Badin Historic Museum

All three Museum buildings are open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., as well as Sundays from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Please stop by to see the new exhibits and discover more about Badin’s colorful history.
