Stanly Early College (SEC) and Stanly STEM Early College (SSEC) have set forth new plans for the 2020-21 school year in light of recent guidelines.

Ninth and 10th graders are the only students taking on-campus high school classes, but they are in divided groups to keep levels at 50 percent of normal capacity.
Both grades are divided into two groups and attended two days in the first two weeks before moving to an alternating weekly schedule.

Methods of online learning, such as Google Classroom and Canvas, are being used by the students to access assignments and teachers during their times at home.

Eleventh grade high school classes moved online to limit the number of students in the building, while some students from all grades are voluntarily choosing to take online only classes.

On the college side, the majority of SCC classes for SEC students have been moved
online, but select classes are continuing to meet in person on a split schedule or at set times online.

As for other regularly scheduled events, the majority of what can be done online is being moved to do so. Seminars for graduating students are being moved to online meetings to limit face-to-face contact.

Masks are required for all in-school activities, and plans are being followed to limit
student contact as greatly as possible for the safety of the students and staff.
