Sarah White

Join in the fun for a free family movie night Saturday. The featured movie is “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

This is a family-friendly events open to the public.

Movies are shown on a large inflatable screen in the backyard of Locust City Hall.

All movies start at sundown, so not all start times are the same.

Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the movie.

West Stanly Lions Club

There have been a lot of new people moving into the Locust and Stanfield area that may not have heard about the West Stanly Lions Club project and fundraiser. For $25 per year, the Lions Club will put an American flag in your front yard or business 10 times a year. Lion David Almond or Scott Efird would be glad to help you get this started or you can mail your name and address with your check to West Stanly Lions, PO Box 284, Locust, NC 28097 and include your e-mail address.

I always love to see all the flags lining the streets, especially on holidays.
