The Norwood Town Council denied a request for two roads to be added to two water pressure rehabilitation projects.

The motion, made by Councilman Robbie Cohen, was to deny the addition of Stanly Grove Church and Old roads to the Brickyard/Dupree and Richardson projects.

Adding the two roads to the existing projects would nearly double the price overall, according to Norwood Mayor Harold Thompson, an increase from a $95,000 estimate which was budgeted last fiscal year to $181,355. Thompson added the roads in question were not in town.

Cohen said he did not like doing this even though the town is supplying water.

Thompson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
