Selected Independent Funeral Homes, during its first virtual Annual Meeting Sept. 30-Oct. 2, honored 13 members for achieving membership milestones.

Selected Independent Funeral Homes is an association for independently owned funeral homes and membership is by invitation only. During the Association Update on Oct. 2, firms were recognized in a tribute video for attaining 50 and 75 years of continuous membership in the association.

Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care of Albemarle was honored for 50 years of membership.

“We continue to feel honored to have such a large percent of our members having legacy and multi-generational membership in our association,” said Arthur Erickson, president of Selected Independent Funeral Homes. “It is a testament to their commitment to excellence and the code of good practice that is the foundation of who we are as an organization and as death care professionals.”
