James T. (JT) Swaringen and Judy Carter Swaringen of New London celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family on Oct. 10, 2020.

They were married in Chesterfield, S.C. on Oct. 8, 1955.

JT is the son of the late John and Clarice Swaringen and Judy is the daughter of the late Charlie and Opal Carter.

They have three children, Kathy S. Morrison (husband George), Gene Swaringen (wife Nancy) and Tim Swaringen (wife June).

They have four grandchildren, Brooke Morgan, Melody M. Biles, Dusty Swaringen and Emily S. Pickett, and two great-grandsons, Logan and Joshua Biles.
