The Stanly County Historical Society is planning a series of oral history interviews with people from Stanly County.

The first in this series will feature Katherine “Kay” Snuggs, who was a nurse in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dr. Eric Johnsen, who also served in Vietnam, spent some time with Kay recently and interviewed her so she could share some of the experiences she had while serving in Vietnam.

The Education Committee with the Stanly County Historical Society is planning additional oral history interviews that will be available.
