“You matter. Be heard.”

That’s the message of Tarsha Ellis, running for our NC Senate District 33.

Having worked her way up through the parent company of Food Lion, she knows the importance of jobs and economy, but she also has compassion for those struggling to pay for their groceries. She’s run numerous food drives over the past few months, and volunteered at Rowan Helping ministries.

She’s passionate about increasing teacher support. She’s not a career politician eager to spend our tax dollars to help her supporters; rather her 20-plus years of working in corporate retail has taught her to spend money wisely.

I’ve known Tarsha personally for more than 30 years. She’s smart, funny, determined and dependable.

As a doctor, her commitment to affordable and accessible healthcare is especially important to me. I have written to my current NC senator to address patient concerns, but did not receive a response.

This makes “You matter. Be heard” especially important to me.

Please consider voting for Tarsha Ellis for NC Senate District 33.
