Stanly Community College received two rankings this week.

Niche.com, a website that analyzes comprehensive data available on U.S. schools and neighborhoods, has ranked SCC as the No. 1 Best Community College in North Carolina for 2021.

According to the organization’s website, “Niche rankings are based on rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and alumni.”

Additionally, Best Value Schools has ranked SCC as the No. 2 Community College in the United States for Accredited Online Associate of Arts Degree Programs.

According to the organization’s website, their ranking process includes research of thousands of the top colleges in the USA, analysis of each school, while keeping in mind the factors most important for students.

These factors include quality of education, degree and course offerings, cost of tuition and student support resources, among many others.

SCC President Dr. John Enamait concurs with the recent honors.

“After a difficult year for our students, faculty and staff, these recognitions are very encouraging,” Enamait said. “We have the best faculty and staff in the state and these rankings only reinforce the outstanding educational opportunities SCC offers. Despite a year of adversity, our faculty and staff have again risen to the top and excelled in providing the best education possible for our students.”
