The Annual YMCA Children’s Christmas Shop will be held this year in an untraditional way.

From 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 5, the event will take place outside at Market Station, 501 W. Main St, Albemarle. Vendors will sell their handmade items and other goods for $5 or less.

In order to provide a safe environment for everyone, there will be a limit on the number of people shopping. Tickets will be sold for $1 and allow one hour of shopping. Tickets may be purchased at the YMCA. After each hour, the shop will close for 15 minutes to allow for cleaning before the next group of shoppers enter.

All ticket holders will be entered into a gift basket raffle. Although Santa is staying at the North Pole until Christmas, you may still get your picture taken in the holiday kitchen to prepare for his visit.
