Oakboro to host community Thanksgiving drive-thru dinner
Oakboro Police Chief T.J. Smith and the staff of the town’s police department will host a free community Thanksgiving dinner 3-6 p.m. Wednesday.
Plates will be served at the town’s police department on Main Street in drive-through fashion. Contributions are being taken for the event to help cover costs and plates can delivered by calling Smith at 704-239-7752 or Sgt. Kaus at 704-991-5309. Any additional funds will also go to the Toys for Tots drive.
