Stanly Community College announces that Blake Bostic has been named associate vice president of administrative and fiscal services.

In his new role, Bostic will bring together the business operations, capital projects and facility care into a more unified division. He will directly manage the purchasing process, Dean of Business Services, and the Dean of Administrative and Facility Services.

Bostic joined the SCC family in 2015. He has served as Dean of Administrative and Facilities Services for the past five years and has served on several college committees including the Culinary Trades Committee and the Finance and Facilities Committee. Bostic was instrumental in the college’s recognition by the State of North Carolina for Energy Conservation.

Blake earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management with a concentration in Finance, from Western Carolina University, in 2010.

His previous work experience in project management, financial reporting, capital budget oversight and grant writing from Rutherford County Government, Planning and Public Works Department, will bring unique skills and  knowledge to his new position.

“I look forward to working with Blake. He has done an outstanding job over the past few years at Stanly Community College. Blake has managed several campus projects that included renovations to the Advanced Manufacturing, Industry, Technology and Trades (AMITT) Building, overhauled the Patterson Building and Kelley Building outdoor steps, and managed the construction and completion of the Morton-Moffitt Cosmetology Building on the Albemarle campus. Additionally, Blake has managed the campus landscape project, and multiple chiller replacements for the college’s HVAC systems,” Kimberly Bradshaw, SCC vice president of administrative services and chief financial officer, said. “Blake’s knowledge of energy efficiency has led SCC to over a 41 percent savings in utility costs over the past few years. It will be a benefit to have Blake move beyond this role into a larger business role here at SCC.”

I look forward to being part of the continued success and progress at Stanly Community College.”

When not working, Bostic enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and finding time to golf and fish.
