The City of Albemarle is conducting an online and paper survey to gather community input on what is important to residents for the growth and shaping of the city. This is an early step in the process to update leaders in the community and help prepare them for decisions on the community’s future. This survey is designed to guide priorities for next year, share your vision for the city’s future and give feedback on current city services.

“While those of us who are a part of the city are active, involved community members, it is still critical to seek input directly from those we serve,” City Manager Michael Ferris said. “To develop truly inclusive long-range plans, input must be sought and received from all areas of the city. We ask that everyone please provide their input by completing a survey so decisions regarding the future of our city can be made with the best information possible.”

The survey is open to all Albemarle stakeholders, whether they live, work or play in Albemarle. The survey will close on Jan. 8, 2021.

The city is providing several options to complete the survey. You may use your smartphone camera to scan a QR code that will take you to the survey, visit https://tinyurl.com/AlbemarleSurvey or stop by City Hall, Stanly County Senior Center, Stanly County Public Library Albemarle Branch or the E.E. Waddell or Niven Community Centers to complete a paper copy.

Residents and businesses will also receive postcards from the city to access the survey.
