Pfeiffer University announced Thursday Northwest Guilford High School standout Aniston Greene has committed to join the Falcons women’s basketball program.

Greene, a senior at Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, recently announced on her social media her decision to join the Pfeiffer program.

“We are thrilled that Aniston will be joining us for the 2021-22 season,” said head coach Tooey Loy. “She will come in and make an immediate impact for us.”

Greene is a two-time All-Metro 4A selection for the Vikings, who finished 25-4 in 2019-20 and advanced to the third round of the NCHSAA 4A playoffs.

Greene also helped lead the Vikings to the Haeco Invitational title in 2019 and won the championship of the Kay Yow division of the CresCom Invitational.

“Pfeiffer is getting the total package with Aniston Greene,” said Northwest Guilford head coach Haley Hackett. “She is a fierce competitor and is one of the hardest working student-athletes I’ve been around. She also is a leader on and off the court. Pfeiffer is a great fit for her and I look forward to watching her career develop while wearing the Falcon uniform,” she said.
