Kids between the ages of 5 and 12 can enter a contest for the best decorated/handmade Christmas ornament at the Stanly County Arts Guild, 330-C N. Second St., Albemarle.

Kids are asked to bring in an ornament they either make from scratch or decorate on their own. The ornaments will be on display for customers to see and vote for their favorite.

The three ornaments with the most votes will receive a handmade Christmas ornament, made by a Guild store artist, donated for the contest.

The votes will be counted Dec. 23 and the winner will be contacted that day.
