CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will resume a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring several ramp closures.

Tonight and Wednesday night, starting at 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from Church Street and South Boulevard to the Inner loop, from the Inner loop to I-77 North (Exit 1C), from Clarkson Street and I-77 North (Exit 9C) to the Outer loop, and the Outer loop to Carson Boulevard (Exit 1D).

Crews will work in these areas until 6 a.m. the following day, until Dec. 31.

The closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
