Better Badin

This community nonprofit group will meet via Zoom on Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. President Frances Whalen has sent a link to all members. Upcoming events will be discussed.

Town Council

The council’s regular monthly meeting is Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Badin Conference Center. All are welcome and asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.

Badin Museum

The Museum Board will keep the museum closed through February due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

Badin Library

The library is open three days a week for browsing and checking out books, and it’s free.

Morrow Mountain

Inclement weather could cause the cancellation of any of the following events. Everyone is asked to wear masks. More information is available at www.ncparks.gov/morrow-mountain-state-park/home.

Learn about woodcocks and observe these interesting birds on a ranger-led walk Feb. 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Register online at Alden.Early@ncparks.gov. Meet at Shelter B.

A NC Parks program, Performing Live — It’s the Beetles, will be offered Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. at Shelter A. Participants will learn about insects, beetle anatomy and diversity and create a Valentine card. Please register online at maggie.miller@ncparks.gov.

Join Ranger Early on Feb. 20 to Build a Recycled Bird Feeder at 10:30 a.m., Shelter B. Registration is required: Alden.Early@ncparks.gov.
