Oakboro Police Sgt. Jason Eschert received his Advanced Certification from North Carolina Training and Standards.
This is the highest certification available for sworn law enforcement. It takes training hours outside the state-mandated training each year, educational requirements and years of service.
Eschert has logged more than 1,200 non-mandated training hours with 12 plus years of service.
