LOCUST/STANFIELD NEWS – Locust to host economic development workshop

The City of Locust will host an Economic Development Workshop for Locust Small Business Owners at 11 a.m. March 4. The workshop will be held virtually via Zoom. This workshop is free but registration is required.
To register email City Administrator Cesar Correa at email@example.com by noon on Feb. 26. Join in to learn what resources are available to your from organizations in the City of Locust and Stanly County.
The Impact Students at Philadelphia Baptist Church will begin a new series on the book of James, “Faith That Work,” on Feb 10. The Impact students are from 6th-12th grades. Join this group in the Student Center at 6:30 p.m. at 12568 Philadelphia Church Road, Stanfield.

Tuesday Flex & Stretch at 11 a.m. and Tai Chi at 1 p.m.
Wednesday Lite Exercise at 10 a.m. and Bingo at 1 p.m.
Thursday Wellness Day at 10 a.m., Strength Training at 11 a.m. and Men’s Pool at 1 p.m.
Friday Lite Exercise at 10 a.m. and Connect, Create, Serve at 12 p.m.

Dates to remember: for baseball, boys 3-12 register before Feb. 22, soccer boys and girls ages 3-18 register before March 1, softball girls age 3-15 register before Feb. 22.
