Woman arrested, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia

Stanly County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and S.W.A.T. team arrested a woman Friday after finding .6 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement arrested Andrea Lea Blackwell, 53, after executing a search warrant at 24602 St. Martin Road in Albemarle.

She was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule II controlled substances, maintaining vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Blackwell’s initial court appearance in District Court in Albemarle is Feb. 22. She is on secured bond of $100,000.
