Church News 

Badin UMC will resume in-person worship services Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.

Badin Presbyterian will continue with in-person services

Badin Baptist is streaming Sunday services at 10 a.m.

Stony Hill UMC holds Sunday drive-in services at 10:30 a.m.

Palestine UMC meets via drive-in services on Sundays at 11 a.m.

Badin Elementary 

Check the school’s Facebook page for current information about registering your rising kindergartner beginning April 1.

Parents are invited to a virtual Town Hall meeting on Feb. 23 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. regarding drug use by Stanly County youth. Register via smith@preventionservices.org.

Morrow Mountain 

Join Ranger Early on Saturday for a family-friendly session to Build a Recycled Bird Feeder. Meet at 10:30 a.m. in Shelter B. Program attendance is limited and registration is required: Alden.Early@ncparks.gov. Please check website updates in case of inclement weather.

The 19th century Kron House will be open Feb. 28 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for tours. Please wear masks and respect other visitors. The house and medical office of Dr. Francis Kron reflects life of an 1800s doctor, horticulturist and community member in the southern piedmont.

Better Badin 

The semi-annual community yard sale is scheduled for April 10 from 7 a.m. to noon in the ALCOA parking lot on NC Highway 740. Set up a table or tent in a 10 x 10 space at no charge. Better Badin, Inc. will accept cash donations to help with other activities that benefit the town.

Limb and Brush 

The next monthly limb and brush pickup is March 2.
