STATE: Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education announces classes

The Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, managed by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, will shift back to a variety of in-person classes in March. The workshops will be hosted outside and led by Wildlife Commission staff. The Center’s COVID-19 policies are stated on their website and must be followed at all times.
In-person classes (Pisgah Forest):
March 6 and 20: Introduction to Fly Fishing, 1 – 4 p.m. Ages 12 and older.
March 11 and 25: Casting for Beginners, 1 – 3:30 p.m. Ages 12 and older.
March 16 and 31: On the Water: Davidson River, 9 a.m. – noon. Ages 12 and older.
March 17: Birding Hike, 9 – 11 a.m., Ages 10 and older.
March 22: Tracking, 1 – 3 p.m. Ages 8 to 13.
March 30: Salamanders, 10 a.m. – noon. Ages 5 – 12.
Pre-registration is required for all classes and is available on the Center’s program calendar or by calling 828-877-4423. Virtual educational opportunities for statewide audiences are still available. Contact the Center to learn more.
