The Outdoorsman’s Bonanza event committee released the following announcement to update ticket holders for the 18th annual prize drawing to take place on March 27:

“We know many of you have been anxiously awaiting and looking forward to the 18th Annual Outdoorsman’s Bonanza. Following NC Gov. Roy Cooper’s announcement on Feb. 24, the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza committee has reviewed these updated guidelines to determine the best way to move forward with the prize drawing on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

“Upon committee’s review of the updated guidelines as stated in State of NC Executive Order 195, our event venue, Market Station, will not be able to meet the requirements listed in this order to host an in-person event on March 27. Therefore, our ticket drawing will be hosted virtually again this year, via the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation’s Facebook Live feed.

“If you have not already done so, please ‘like’ the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation’s Facebook page, and be sure to tune in to the live video on Saturday, March 27, 2021, starting at 11 a.m.

“Be sure to tune in as Bonanza committee volunteers are looking forward to giving away great prizes for great causes!

“For those who missed the early bird deadline to purchase tickets, there are still a limited amount available for sale by mail order and at our ticket outlets. Although the Early Bird deadline has passed, you can still be eligible for cash drawings and lots of big prizes, including a bass boat, hunting rifles, outdoor grills, golf carts, travel trailer, a Honda Civic and the grand finale drawing of the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado!

“Proceeds from the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza benefit Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation, Stanly Health Foundation and the Stanly County Shrine Club. Thank you to all of the sponsors, ticket sales outlets, prize providers and to ticket holders who continue to support the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza.

“We hope you will join us live on Facebook on Saturday, March 27th at 11 a.m. We anticipate returning to the in-person event at Market Station on Saturday, March 26, 2022, and hope to see you then!”
