Bobby R. Simpson of Albemarle was sworn in as a license and theft inspector with the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicles Division.
Chamber
The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, led by Membership Chairman Larry Hatley, kicked off its annual membership drive Monday.
Chamber Vice President Edward Timberlake noted that with the present economic slow down it is more important than ever for people to support the Chamber’s efforts to attract new industries and businesses.
The Chamber’s goal was 60 new members.
