A team of five FFA boys from Norwood had been declared winner in the annual parliamentary contest conducted by the Future Farmers of America in Stanly and Montgomery counties. They were Harold Crump, Gene Ivey, Melvin Blalock, Jimmy Still and Jerry Traywick.
