Yandle
Amie Yandle of Albemarle was crowned Regional Jr. Majorette Queen when the National Majorette Association held a Regional Queen and Princess Championship Contest at the Badin Elementary School gymnasium.
This advanced Yandle to compete for the 1981 National Jr. Majorette Queen title at Virginia Beach, Virginia June 22-27.
In order to win, she was required to model and be judged in an evening gown and perform a talent other than baton. She chose a song and dance routine to “Music, Music, Music.”
She was the daughter of Jim and Virginia Yandle of Albemarle.
