CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COLUMN: Chamber has many programs, events planned

The Stanly County Chamber has been working on plans for the upcoming months and for the year. We are excited to announce the dates for several of the county’s favorite programs.

The Chamber has a ribbon cutting planned at the Stanly County Habitat Restore, located at 1506 Hwy 24/27 West in Albemarle, at 10 a.m. April 20. Plan to come out and help celebrate their remodel. We will follow up with a ribbon cutting at a new business at 11 a.m. May 3 at Main Street Inspections, at 1241 East Main Street in Albemarle.
We will be announcing several more ribbon cuttings in the next few weeks. Please follow our social media sites to keep up to date.
The Chamber has partnered with several other organizations to present a free career fair on April 27 from 4-7 p.m. at the Stanly County Commons, 1000 N. First St., Albemarle. This event will include free workshops and opportunities to network with professionals from a variety of career paths. We appreciate the chance to partner with Stanly Community College, Stanly County Government, NC Works and Centralina Workforce Development Board to bring this free event to Stanly County.
Programs to be held later in the year include: the SCCoC Golf Classic on Aug. 17 at Piney Point Golf Club in Norwood; Stanly County Safety Awards Banquet Luncheon on Nov. 8; and Albemarle Rotary Club & Stanly County Chamber of Commerce Reverse Raffle on Nov. 13 at The Market Station in Downtown Albemarle.
The Stanly County Managers Association will begin again in June. Members will receive additional information in the coming weeks about this great organization and the plans we have for 2021 and 2022.
The Chambers Leadership Stanly Program will resume in September, with student recruitment in May. Please contact the Chamber to be a part of this program that is a favorite in Stanly County.
