Honeycutt wins in women’s tennis action at Methodist

Pfeiffer University senior Sydney Honeycutt won her match at No. 5 singles as the Pfeiffer women’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 road USA South match at Methodist.

THE BASICS
Sydney Honeycutt improved her singles record to 2-2 on the season with a 6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4) win over Methodist’s Natalie Collins at the No. 5 singles match.

Honeycutt also teamed with Darby Sherrill at No. 2 doubles and dropped their match by an 8-1 score.

Anna Branson also had a competitive match, but ultimately fell at No. 1 singles by a 3-6, 4-6 score to Abby Caddick.

BACK ON COURT

The Falcon women’s team travel to Raleigh to take on Meredith College on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and will return to The Village to host a pair of upcoming USA South matches this weekend against William Peace (Saturday at 2 p.m.) and Averett (Sunday at 1 p.m.).
