“I’ve always found ways to get involved in my community,” said LeGrand. “If I can help students understand the importance of school-family partnerships and how to build agency and resilience, they will be more inclined to contribute to the community’s future stability.”

LeGrand serves as the college and career success coach at Central Oregon Community College, on the Bend-La Pine Schools Budget Committee, as an instructor for social science and business, and as an executive board member for The Father’s Group.

LeGrand and his wife, Erin, live in Northeast Bend with their two school-aged children. He is the son of Gale L. Allen, who still lives in Stanly County.
