HARRISTOWN NEWS: Household goods, clothing giveaway returns Saturday

It’s the time of year for traveling, family gatherings, outdoor activities, etc. We’re all looking forward to getting back to “normal,” but let’s not let down our guard. Even if you have been fully vaccinated, remember to wash your hands often, continue to practice social distancing as much as possible and wear a mask when interacting with those outside your home.

Church News

St. Luke, 801 Roosevelt St., is excited to be back in the sanctuary for Sunday morning services. As of right now the schedule is 9:30, prayer time with Elder McKinnis, and 11 a.m. morning service with Bishop Smith.  The 11 a.m. service will also be streamed on Facebook Live. All safety protocols will be followed.

Bible Study will continue to be via conference call on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The conference number is 305-848-8888, room 333#.

The next St. Luke Household Goods Giveaway will be Saturday in the old Alcoa parking lot at 9 a.m. No early birds.

Call to Pray

Shiloh Baptist Church, 39289 Wright Road, New London, will be the venue for Call to Pray on the first and third Thursdays in each month at 7 p.m. Minister Argene Peoples is the facilitator. All are welcome.

Condolences

The community extends heartfelt condolences to the Scott/Nabinett families for the loss of their loved one, Jerome Nabinett.
