Pamela Sullivan will replace Becky Weemhoff as the new director of Senior Services effective Monday, according to County Manager Andy Lucas.

Sullivan, who has worked for Stanly County since 2011, is currently the program coordinator for Senior Services. She’s been with the department since 2014.

“I’m very excited to be named director of the Stanly County Senior Services Department,” she said.

“Over the past decade, I’ve worked closely with the director on projects, services and events to serve the older adults of this community,” she added. “Through this experience I have learned so much from Becky. Her patience, kindness and passion for older adults has been such an inspiration. She has not only been a mentor for me, but a true friend. I look forward to carrying on that passion to serve seniors in Stanly County.”
Sullivan has a bachelor’s degree in health education & promotion from East Carolina University and is also a graduate of the Ann Johnson Institute for Senior Center Management.
She is a Stanly County native and lives in Albemarle.
Weemhoff has worked for the county for more than 30 years and has been director of Senior Services for the past 18 years. Her last day was Friday.
