Better Badin to host tour of homes

Better Badin will host The Badin Tour of Homes: “The French Connection” 2-5 p.m. June 13.
Seven spots are on the tour.
First up is a four-room cottage at 70 Cedar St. Built in 1916, this 965-square-foot home originally cost $943.
At 64 Falls Road is the Badin Historic Museum. This five-room apartment was built in 1913 and has 1,209 square feet. It originally cost $1,150.
The Dot Lowder Apartment at 68 Maple St. has five rooms and was built in 1913. Containing 1,209 square feet, the price tag for this one was $1,150.
At 23 Henderson St. is the plant operating superintendent’s house and servants quarters. This bungalow was built in 1916 and has 2,810 square feet. It was priced at $6,457.
The Josie Chrisco Duplex at 46 Henderson St. was built in 1914 and has 2,090 square feet. It originally cost $3,000.
At 76 Henderson St. is the plant superintendent’s house, which was built in 1913. Containing 4,908 square feet, it cost $6,800.
Rounding out the tour is The Badin Inn at 107 Spruce St. Built in 1913, is has 5,500 square feet per floor.
Tickets can be purchased for $15 at The Badin Inn the day of the tour.
