The Stanly County Senior Center. 283 N. Third St., Albemarle, will honor and remember those who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease on June 18.

There will be an ALZwalk beginning at 10:15 a.m. Participants will be led on a 1 mile walk around downtown and will meet back at the Senior Center.

Individuals will have an opportunity to make a donation for a pinwheel with their loved one’s name on it. These pinwheels will be placed at the front of the Senior Center during June.

There will also be giveaways, snacks and brain games available in the parking lot. Drums Alive will provide entertainment beginning at 11:15 a.m.
