The proposed budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year will be among the topics discussed at Monday’s meeting of the Norwood Town Council.

In a draft of the budget resolution updated Thursday, certain new fees were added to it which had been previously approved by the town’s council.

One of the key changes was an increase in the minimum monthly charge for sewer service, which increased 30 percent from $25.01 to $32.52.

An additional fee for rental of the entire volleyball court area of $40 for four hours was recently approved. The budget also has a cancellation fee of $20 for the volleyball court reservations. A deposit of $40 will be required for volleyball equipment which will be refundable if there is no damage to the equipment.

Golf cart registration fees have increased to $75 along with a $35 annual golf cart renewal fee. The carts will be inspected annually while proof of insurance on the carts will be examined at the time of inspection.

Total appropriations to operate the town will be $2,781,694 from the general fund and $184,300 from Powell funds. The enterprise fund, which covers the operation of Norwood’s water and sewer plants along with field operations, will be $2,239,100.

Expected revenues for the funds are projected to equal the expenditures projections listed above.

A public hearing will be conducted on the budget at Monday’s meeting.
