South graduate receives Edith Norwood Scholarship

Sadie Lee, who graduated from South Stanly High with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude with Highest Praise, has been award the Edith Norwood Scholarship.

The scholarship, sponsored by the Norwood Community Service League, is awarded to a South Stanly High senior who has achieved at a high level academically and shown dedication to the local community.
She is the daughter of Steve and Stacy Lee.
She completed an Associate’s Degree from Stanly Community College.
A pitcher for the South softball team, she will enter Belmont Abbey College with a softball scholarship.
“I truly love being part of a small community,” Lee said. “Growing up in Stanly County has made me appreciate the love and support within a small town.”
