Piano, voice, organ students perform recital

Piano, voice and organ students of Anne F. Cooper presented their spring recital May 16 at Central United Methodist Church in Albemarle.
Rev. Nathan Fox opened the recital with a convocation.
Each student played several selections. Duets were performed by Emma Murphy, Rhyan Russell, Adaleigh Cauble, Rex Crump, Brigitt Hernandez, Kaylynn Mclendon, Kate Foutz, Brooke Allen, Adina Horner and Jordan Korzelius.
Brooke Allen is a senior at North Stanly High School and has been active in the chorus and hand bells there.
Adina Horner sang “The Holy City” by Stephen Adams, accompanied by Cooper.
Jordan Korzelius was guest performer, and is studying music therapy at Queen’s University.
He also performed the second movement from Sonata No. 3 by Felix Mendelssohn on the Schantz pipe organ.
