Robin Listerman has been named Registrar of Pfeiffer University.

Listerman, who was the University’s Director of Academic Operations, assumed her new role July 1. She succeeds Lourdes Silva, who retired.

The University’s Office of the Registrar serves as the official custodian of student records, implements academic policies, and shares enrollment and other data.

“I am excited to be appointed the University’s registrar,” Listerman said. “I am most grateful to my colleagues for their support and encouragement throughout my tenure at Pfeiffer. In my new role, I look forward to working directly with students from matriculation to graduation, while building relationships and providing guidance to assist them on their Pfeiffer journey.”

Dr. Daniel S. Mynatt has served as Pfeiffer’s Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs since June 1. He recommended that Dr. Scott Bullard, Pfeiffer’s president, approve the appointment of Robin Listerman to the position of Registrar.

“Before I arrived, Dr. Michael Thompson, who served as Interim Provost last year, recommended Robin as the best candidate for the position of Registrar,” he said. “After only a week on the job, I concluded on my own that Robin is valuable to Pfeiffer and uniquely qualified to serve as this institution’s Registrar. I am proud that she is willing to serve.”

Thompson said that there are few people who understand all facets of Pfeiffer’s operation in the way that Listerman does.

“Her experience in Academic Affairs sets her up perfectly to transition into the role of Registrar,” he said. “Foremost, however, is the fact that Robin approaches her interactions with students, faculty and staff with grace and the desire to help others. This trait, I believe, will be the key to her ongoing success.”

Listerman graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. degree in Textile & Apparel Management. She received her MBA from Pfeiffer University. She teaches in the First Year Seminar, coordinates the Capitol Hill Internship Program, and serves on various academic committees.

Outside of Pfeiffer, Listerman is a Senior Advisor for the Crosby Scholars Program of Rowan County. She lives on a family farm in Rowan County with her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Sutton.
