Farmers Market

There has been an increase in the number of vendors at Locust Farmers Market this summer.

The market is open every Thursday through the end of summer. Join on the corner of Main Street and Vella Drive for locally grown produce and handmade crafts.

The market will open at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

West Stanly Senior Center

Bingo is back on Friday nights at the West Stanly Senior Center beginning on Aug. 6. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with bingo starting at 6 p.m. and going until 9:30 or 10.

Friday night bingo is not just for seniors so come on out make new friends and have some fun. WSCC is beside ACE Hardware in City Center.

New Business

There is a new business opening in Town Center. RBC Music Store will have a grand opening event on Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. There will be a ribbon cutting, food, raffle and giveaways. RBC Music is at 150 Ray Kennedy Dr. Suite 126.

Vacation Bible School

“Destination Dig” will be the theme for the Philadelphia Baptist Church vacation Bible school through Aug. 6.
Register children ages 3 to rising eighth graders on the church website.
Dinner will be served nightly, with Friday being Family Fun Night.
Philadelphia Church is on Philadelphia Church Road in Stanfield.

West Stanly Christian Ministry

WSCM does a lot to help their community. They are expanding their hours every Tuesday (at least for the summer). Tuesday hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to better serve you
