Colleges

Stanly Technical College and Anson Technical College are no longer openly competing for students in Union County which has no technical college. They are, instead, cooperating.

In an effort to better serve the citizens of Union County, Anson and Stanly technical colleges established the Union Technical Education Consortium (UTEC) to offer a wide range of technical, vocational, continuing education and industrial training courses.
