Archie Love Memorial Blood and Platelet Drive

Sarah White writes the Locust News for the SNAP.

We invite you to take time to honor Archie in the best way possible — by sharing the gift of life through blood and platelet donation.

As a thank you gift each donor will receive a $20 e-gift card, beach towel and wellness checkup including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.

If you are unable to donate or out of town, please share the word. Encouraging others is equally important. You can book your appointment by calling 704-562-1371.

Please join me in spreading the word about the upcoming drive. One Blood will be bringing the Whole Blood bus for normal donations as well as the platelet bus for platelets.

Donating platelets is easy but it does take longer, about 1.5-2 hours.

This blood drive will be on Aug. 22 from 12-5 p.m. at Locust Presbyterian Church, 607 W. Main St., Locust.
